Want clients leaning in? Show them this.
It’s not louder marketing that grabs attention. It’s the shift you create and the moment they see things differently.

Welcome to The Find Coaching Clients Newsletter for learning where to focus your energy, so you can find plenty of clients.
We’re now on Step 3 of the Market Clarity Framework. Let’s do a quick recap:
Big Group / Small Niche – Where do you fit in the market?
Client Personas – Who exactly are you talking to?
Lens / Shift – What perspective do you bring that changes how clients see things?
Tailored Messages – How do you say it so it sticks?
This week we’re focusing on Lens / Shift.
Your lens is the perspective you bring to solving the problem. It’s how you see things differently than the rest of the market.
And when you share that perspective, it creates a shift, a moment when your client realizes, “Oh… I’ve been looking at this the wrong way.”
There are three main kinds of shifts (using my audience as an example) you can create:
Belief Shift – Challenging what they think is true.
Example: They believe “more followers = more clients.” Your lens flips it: “It’s not followers, it’s conversations that create clients.”
Process Shift – Challenging how they’ve been doing things.
Example: They think launching has to be stressful and complicated. You show them a simpler way that actually works better.
Identity Shift – Challenging how they see themselves.
Example: They think they have to “be someone else”, more polished, more experienced, more of an expert before clients will take them seriously. Your lens flips it: they don’t need to become someone else, they need to own who they already are and lead from there.
When you name and use your lens, clients stop scrolling past. They lean in, because you’ve just rocked the boat on what they thought was true.

Flip One Belief
Take out a piece of paper (or open a doc) and write down one belief your ideal clients hold that you know isn’t serving them.
Here are examples of mine:
Maybe they think they need a bigger audience.
Or that business growth only comes from posting more.
Or that if it feels hard, it must mean they’re not cut out for it.
Now flip it through your lens:
“You don’t need more followers, you need more conversations.”
“Consistency beats volume every time.”
“Struggle doesn’t mean you’re not cut out for it, it means you’re conquering a learning curve.”
That flipped statement? That’s your shift. Use it in your next post, client conversation, or email this week. See how people respond when you put your perspective front and center.
Try this once a week. You’ll start noticing a shift in how you feel and how much you realize you’ve already built.

When your perspective is unclear, your energy gets scattered.
You start second-guessing yourself: Should I be doing it their way? Maybe that’s the “right” strategy…
But here’s what I know: when you claim your own lens, everything inside you calms down.
You’re no longer fighting to copy what everyone else is doing. You’re aligned with the way you see things, and that alignment feels solid, grounded, magnetic.
That’s the shift your clients feel too. When your energy is steady and sure, they stop hesitating because you’re showing them a new way forward with confidence.

Depending on your background, marketing may be a whole new thing for you. It may feel foreign and completely overwhelming. I’ve spent nearly 2 decades in marketing, quietly building behind the scenes of multi-million dollar coaching companies. And coaching those who decide to build something for themselves. If you find yourself struggling with any of it, listen to this episode on The Solo Coach Podcast: How to Love the Hard Parts of Your Business. I think you’ll like it.
On Coach Diaries, I talk about the mindset issue that keeps you from feeling successful. It’s a doozy. Take a look. It will help.
Much love.
