The coaching business vital sign you’re ignoring

If THIS isn’t growing, your business isn’t breathing...it’s flatlining. Here’s what you can do about it.

Welcome to The Find Coaching Clients Newsletter for learning where to focus your energy, so you can find plenty of clients.

Every coaching business has a pulse.
And that pulse?
It’s your email list.

If it’s not growing, your business isn’t breathing. It’s flatlining.

Let’s change that.

Here’s what I want you to know:
If your list isn’t growing, your business isn’t growing. Period. Not your followers. Not your likes. Not your podcast downloads.

Your email list is the heartbeat of your coaching business.

It’s the only place where you can build real trust, share your offers, and make consistent sales without playing the algorithm game or exhausting yourself.

And it’s yours. You don’t have to play by any platform’s rules to get in front of an audience, this is your audience.

So if you’ve been stuck in a cycle of posting and hoping to grow your list… Or telling yourself you’ll “get to list-building later”... It’s time to look at this differently.

List growth is your #1 priority, even over visibility. Because if your current visibility efforts aren’t growing your list by at least 25 new subscribers a month, it’s not doing you a whole lot of good.

Shift your focus and set a goal for growing your email subscribers by 20% each month. Everything else is secondary. Let me show you a quick way to do this.

Plan to Participate in Your First (or Next) Bundle Giveaway

Here’s how to get moving on this quickly:

  1. Grab my List Growth Planning Calendar (it’s free) → It helps you organize your monthly list growth in one place. Make it your own.

  2. Now implement:

  • Decide on a Bundle Giveaway free offer that is more than your lead magnet (Think: Mini-Course, set of templates, or custom GPT)

  • Create your free offer and make sure it’s ready to go

  • Apply for your first (or next) Bundle Giveaway

  • Now set a goal and participate in Bundle Giveaways every single month

Once you see your list growing (and I mean more than the one or two people from FB), your email marketing has somewhere to land and your offers? People will start taking you up on it.

Think about it - if your list hasn’t grown significantly lately, your audience has already seen what you have to offer. You need fresh eyes and new potential clients. List growth is how this happens.

If you want to get serious about growing your list and attracting coaching clients, without needing to post every day or “be on” 24/7, then join me inside Coach Growth Lab.

CGL is where solo coaches like you learn coach marketing, stay consistent, and finally build a business that starts working.

Every month you’re a member, you’ll get:

We’re not hustling over here.
We’re building a coaching business that works, even if you’re doing it solo.

Here’s something most coaches don’t think about:

Your list is proof of belief. Every new subscriber is someone saying, “I believe you might be able to help me.

That’s powerful.

So when you focus on growing your list, you're building a business AND you're building belief in your work, your message, and your ability to help someone change something that matters.

You’re building belief in you. (We all need that)

I’d say that’s energy well spent.
And it comes back tenfold.

When you’re a new coach or even in the first 1-3 years of building your business, it can be really tough to get a handle on content. How do you know what to give away and what to reserve and get paid for?

How do you settle the conflict of being “in service” and helping without building resentment instead of building business? Listen to this episode on The Solo Coach Podcast: How to Create Content that Converts (without burning out). I think you’ll like it.

In the latest video on Coach Diaries, I share what I’d focus on if I only had 2 hours a day (heck, 2 hours every other day). It CAN be done. Take a look. It will help.

Plus you can hear the latest on my super ambitious goal to grow my email list by 4,000 subscribers in 2025 without any paid ads or complicated strategies.

Much love.
